Vista Printer Addition Solution

If you happen to receive the message “This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.” when trying to install a printer in Vista, do this to solve the problem (you must be on an administrator account):

1. Click on the Start button and type gpedit.msc in the Search box. Press Enter.
2. Go to User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Control Panel, Printers.
3. Set Prevent addition of Printers to Disabled.
